Optimal Colon Health – The centerpiece of pH balance – (part 1)

http://www.ph-ion.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=282

This is part one of a 4 part video series where we’re going to explore the importance of maintaining colon health and the correlation between colon health and pH balance.

While you can re alkalize your body up by eating plenty of alkaline foods, drinking plenty of good alkaline water, and replenishing your depleted mineral and enzyme – you won’t STAY in balance of realize the full benefits of a balanced body if your colon is unhealthy and out of balance.

Everything else can be right, but if you don’t get your colon back to its optimal state, toxins and acids can and will return. Also, just because you take time to re alkalize your body doesn’t mean that built up waste in your colon is just going to go away. You still need to go back and clean house a bit.

Your colon has one basic function… to prepare waste for elimination…this includes food waste, cellular waste, toxins and acids. In order to do an effective job, it needs five basic things:

1.An optimal working environment… which is a pH of 6.8 to 7.0. (Test your pH http://www.ph-ion.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=205 )
2.Enough moisture and fluids to keep the colon walls smooth and slick.
3.Ample minerals to hold that water in cells of the colon wall
4.Fiber to sweep away debris, and soak-up toxins and acids like a sponge.
5.And the proper enzymes to break matter down

If you go without any ONE of these elements for an extended period, a back-up of waste will occur. When this happens, you’ve reached the tipping point…you start the process of going FROM balance into IMBALANCE.

When waste builds up, it begins to compact (impacted colon)…and you can develop a layer of mucosal plaque underneath the waste. Toxicity starts to build, acids in your colon increase and irritate your colon walls, and pathogenic / harmful bacteria begin to grow and proliferate. No different than it would in any garbage heap.

These nasty guys start taking over. Instead of helping properly DIGEST food, they FERMENT food which increases the toxic environment. This can eventually harm or kill the good bacteria…which are extremely important to your intestinal health.

Over time, your colon can expand up to 4 times its normal size and you look and feel bloated — these toxins and acids can then overflow into other parts of your body over time — it’s called leaky gut. This then stresses your liver and practically every other organ as acidification spreads throughout your body.

Watch Part two of this video series titled “Colon Cleansing — How to do it the right way ” to learn HOW to properly rid your colon of compacted waste, acids, toxins, harmful bacteria, and mucosal plaque AND restore your colon… and your whole body…back to a healthy and vibrant state! The Dangerous Health Effects of Steroids – Educational Video PSA

Posted by xntube contributor On December - 3 - 2008

The public domain public service announcement video: “Squeezing Out the Juice: Tackling the Steroid Issue”. Winning is everything to some athletes, and they’ll do anything they can to make it happen, even take illegal drugs. Steroids have become a hot topic recently, from professional athletes down to little kids in recreational leagues. Congress has tackled the issue and many athletes and others are clamoring for more of a response. During this hour-long broadcast, learn about the health effects of steroids and hear how the pressure to win influences choices people make. See what the DEA, legislators, sports leagues, and schools are doing about performance-enhancing drugs. Some local coalitions are forming steroids task forces in their areas. Find out how their experience can help you and your local coalition spread the word. Learning Objectives: Learn who is using steroids and why; Learn about the dangerous health effects steroids cause; Hear how two programs targeted to high school athletes teaches them about the dangers of steroids and how you can get involved; Find out what one coalition is doing about the problem in their area; Anabolic steroid abuse has been associated with a wide range of adverse side effects ranging from some that are physically unattractive, such as acne and breast development in men, to others that are life threatening. Most of the effects are reversible if the abuser stops taking the drug, but some can be permanent. In addition to the physical effects, anabolic steroids can also cause increased irritability and aggression. Some of the health consequences that can occur in both males and females include liver cancer, heart attacks, and elevated cholesterol levels. In addition to this, steroid use among adolescents may prematurely stop the lengthening of bones resulting in stunted growth. People who inject steroids also run the risk of contracting or transmitting hepatitis or HIV. Some steroid abusers experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop taking the drug. These withdrawal symptoms include mood swings, fatigue, restlessness, loss of appetite, insomnia, reduced sex drive, and depression. This depression can lead to suicide attempts, and if left untreated, can persist for a year or more after the abuser stops taking the drugs. Primary target audiences for this program will include law enforcement officials, drug prevention specialists, Drug-Free Communities Act grantees, administrators, school drug counselors, high school athletic officials, treatment providers, drug court members, policy makers, business leaders, coalition volunteers, drug demand reduction coordinators, criminal justice professionals, members of the religious community and other community partners who may be interested. This program is also suitable for Public Access television distribution. Sponsored by Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) as a public service announcement; public domain. This program is made possible through a partnership with the Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) Program at St. Petersburg College and the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), with the technical support of the Satellite Education Network (SEN) at Ft. Lee, VA.

“Health Fanatic”, John Cooper Clark

Posted by xntube contributor On December - 3 - 2008

punk poet John Cooper Clark

HEALTH FANATIC

AROUND THE BLOCK – AGAINST THE CLOCK

TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

RUNNING OUT OF BREATH – RUNNING OUT OF SOCKS

RUBBER ON THE ROAD… FLIPPETY FLOP

NON-SKID AGILITY… CHOP CHOP

NO TIME TO HANG ABOUT

WORK OUT HEALTH FANATIC… WORK OUT!

THE CRACK OF DAWN HE’S LIFTING WEIGHTS
HIS TELL-TALE HEART REVERBERATES

HE’S HIGH IN POLYUNSATURATES…

LOW IN POLYSATURATES…

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD AWAITS

IT’S A MAN’S LIFE

HE’S A HEALTH FANATIC… SO WAS HIS WIFE

A ONE-MAN WAR AGAINST DECAY
ENJOYS HIMSELF THE HARD WAY

ALLOWS HIMSELF A MARS A DAY

HOW OLD AM I – WHAT DO I WEIGH

PUNCH ME THERE… DOES IT HURT… NO WAY

RUNNING ON THE SPOT DON’T GET TOO HOT

HE’S A HEALTH FANATIC, THAT’S WHY NOT

RUNNING THROUGH THE TRAFFIC JAM – TAKING IN THE LEAD
HYPERACTIVITY KEEPS HIM OUT OF BED

DEEP DOWN HE’D LIKE TO KICK IT IN THE HEAD

THEY’LL REGRET IT WHEN THEY’RE DEAD

THERE’S MORE TO LIFE THAN FUN

HE’S A HEALTH FANATIC – HE’S GOT TO RUN

BEANS GREENS AND TANGERINES
AND LOW CHOLESTROL MARGARINES

HIS LIMBS ARE LOOSE, HIS TEETH ARE CLEAN

HE’S A HIGH-OCTANE FRESH-AIR FIEND

YOU’VE GOT TO ADMIT HE’S KEEN

WHAT CAN YOU DO BUT BE IMPRESSED

HE’S A HEALTH FANATIC… GIVE IT A REST

SHADOW BOXING – PUNCH THE WALL
ONE-A-SIDE FOOTBALL… WHAT’S THE SCORE… ONE-ALL

COULD HAVE BEEN A COPPER… TOO SMALL

COULD HAVE BEEN A JOCKEY… TOO TALL

KNEES UP, KNEES UP… HEAD THE BALL

NERVOUS ENERGY MAKES HIM TICK

HE’S A HEALTH FANATIC… HE MAKES YOU SICK
