Selena Marie Gomez[1] (born July 22, 1992) is an American actress and singer best known for playing Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place. She has appeared in episodes of other Disney Channel Original Series as well. In 2008 she signed with Hollywood Records, and is currently working on her debut album, which is tentatively set to be released in the summer of 2009.

Another Cinderella Story is a 2008 romantic comedy film directed by Damon Santostefano and starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley. The film was released direct-to-DVD by Warner Premiere on September 16, 2008.[1] Filming was shot in Canada throughout January 2008.
This movie is a retelling of the Cinderella fairy tale, with Mary Santiago (Selena Gomez) taking the role of Cinderella; Dominique Blatt (Jane Lynch) taking the role of the stepmother; Britt (Emily Perkins) and Bree (Katharine Isabelle) as the two stepsisters; and Joey Parker (Drew Seeley) as the Prince, now a famous celebrity that has returned to school for his senior year. The role of the glass slippers is now filled by an MP3 player.
