Story Plot:
The local library has taken on a new, but strange and unexplainable facade. Billowing clouds race past it from above, flashes of light punch out from its windows and perhaps the strangest of all is the impression that the library is alive. When book-lover and all around super-girl, Emily Grace Garcia (Selena Gomez) hears about strange happenings at the local library, she decides to investigate and brings her best friend, Kingston (Lewis Parry) to help. Things seem pretty normal until they witness electric holograms popping out of books and mysterious glowing bookshelves. Selena Marie Gomez[1] (born July 22, 1992) is an American actress and singer best known for playing Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place. She has appeared in episodes of other Disney Channel Original Series as well. In 2008 she signed with Hollywood Records, and is currently working on her debut album, which is tentatively set to be released in the summer of 2009.
In 2007, she was cast in the lead role Alex Russo, the mischevious middle child, in the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place. The series premiered October 2007 on Disney Channel. Due to the success of the show, a second season was bought and it is currently airing.

In 2008 Gomez was featured in two feature films. The first, was a voice-over of the Mayor’s 96 daughters, in the animated film, Horton Hears a Who!. She had shared this role with Samantha Droke. The second, was a sequel to A Cinderella Story, entitled Another Cinderella Story. She had played the role of a down on her luck high school dancer, named Mary.

Selena Gomez had also appeared on the olympic-based special miniseries, Disney Channel Games for the third annual show. Subsequently, she had hosted the second show of Studio DC: Almost Live, a special half-hour variety show that features The Muppets as well as Disney Channel stars. She had also made a small appearance on Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream.

That same year, she was cast as Carter, an insecure tomboy in the upcomming Disney Channel Original Movie, Princess Protection Program alongside her best friend, Demi Lovato.

On October 30, 2008, TV Guide reported that Gomez had launched her own production company, July Moon Productions. The newly formed company will partner with XYZ Films to create two star vehicles featuring Gomez.
Gomez makes YouTube Webcam videos with fellow Barney & Friends actress Demi Lovato, who says they have been friends since the Barney auditions. Gomez also makes YouTube videos with Wizards of Waverly Place co-stars Jennifer Stone and David Henrie.

I think that she’s a wonderful performer, and of course it’s a compliment. But I would like to take a different route.”

Another Cinderella Story is a 2008 romantic comedy film directed by Damon Santostefano and starring Selena Gomez and Drew Seeley. The film was released direct-to-DVD by Warner Premiere on September 16, 2008.[1] Filming was shot in Canada throughout January 2008.
This movie is a retelling of the Cinderella fairy tale, with Mary Santiago (Selena Gomez) taking the role of Cinderella; Dominique Blatt (Jane Lynch) taking the role of the stepmother; Britt (Emily Perkins) and Bree (Katharine Isabelle) as the two stepsisters; and Joey Parker (Drew Seeley) as the Prince, now a famous celebrity that has returned to school for his senior year. The role of the glass slippers is now filled by an MP3 player.
